You scored as Radical Catholic. You are "Radical" in its Catholic sense -- from the Latin word radix, or root. You are not just a "church person" but you are a disciple of Christ, making a total commitment to the Gospel, to voluntary poverty, and self-sacrifice for others. You give without counting the cost. You need to be sure that you remain obedient to the Church and your superiors, and do not consider yourself a prophet or become elitist. Try to make good examinations of conscience and to be humble.

You scored as Evangelical Catholic.
You are a Protestant convert, or have been affected by evangelical Protestantism in some way. You love Scripture and incorporate into your daily life. You have a clear vision of Catholic morals and doctrines, and you make great effort to adhere to them. However, your interpretation of Scripture may not be in line with Catholic teaching, and you may not accept legitimate plurality in doctrinal expression. You might want to read the Fathers of the Church and Papal encyclicals to deepen your Catholicism.
Square on! I value Catholicism but have been largely raised & trained with Protestant positions & traditions. I am actually an independent but have been studying Mother Angelica & listening to John Michael Talbot long enough to wonder how I would score.

My Mom, who has converted back to Catholicism some years ago (she was raised with both traditions) also scored as an Evangelical Catholic but with much higher scores for Radical & New Catholic

Neat link. Thanks!

Karen, I was a radical catholic? I never thought of myself as that aspect. I am going to have Mark take this test when I get home tonight, very curious about his view, I'll let you know
Hope all is well, Hugs and Kisses

You scored as Liberal Catholic.
You embrace the social justice mission of the Church, and the view of Catholic community as seen in the Acts of Apostles. You have a great love of the American democratic tradition, but tend to want to apply these traditions to the Church itself and the deposit of faith. You want a married and female clergy, decentralization of power, and an endless list of reforms. You feel that you are a true champion of the Second Vatican Council. Like the Neo-Conservative Catholic, your views may be too determined by American culture, and you may uncritically accept many theories that may be harmful to yourself and society; instead you may need rediscover authentic Catholic thinking. You should emphasize the love of God, as your Creator and sustainer.
